The Town of Surfside is a community that treasures its beaches and when driving through you can see people walking towards the ocean to enjoy a nice stroll on the warm sand or a quick swim in the ocean. One of the most popular spots in Surfside is its wide stretch of beach, which is fringed by a path that passes through the surrounding dunes. Surfside was founded on 1935 and became incorporated through the signatures of a few people, members of a private club in town, “The Surf Club ". In the early 1960s, the community center was built on Collins and 93 Street.
