The One Tequesta Point condominium is located at 888 Brickell Key Drive on Brickell Key near Brickell Avenue and Downtown Miami. One Tequesta Point has incredible bay, city and ocean views and year round bay breezes. Only seconds from all the amenities Miami has to offer but safe and secure on Brickell Key, this distinctive luxury condo property puts you right in the center of all the action. The whole world wishes it was in Miami right now, and with good reason. The fashions, the lush texture of tropics infused with a cosmopolitan style found nowhere else on earth. One day, you’ll be strolling the café life of Ocean Drive, the next at a world-premier film or gallery opening. A business capital with hip hotels and five-star restaurants, jungle gardens and coral reefs, living in Miami is an endless feast for all your senses. Living at One Tequesta Point at Brickell Key puts every bit of it within your reach.
Serenely set apart from Downtown Miami by its own gated entry and private island ambiance, the exclusive residential enclave of Tequesta Point on Brickell Key is linked to the city’s abundant cultural and commercial attractions – mere moments away – by a short scenic causeway. Tequesta Point is conceived in every exquisite detail to create a great residential tradition on the bay. Winding up the private drive to Tequesta Point, poised at Brickell Key’s easternmost tip, the lush landscaping and classical proportions of the open plazas evoke a special sense of place – and arrival. Tequesta Point Condos consists of three skyscraper buildings located on Brickell Key, an urban island to the east of the Central Business District. Three Tequesta Point, the tallest of the three, was completed in 2001. It is 480 ft (146 m) tall, and has 46 floors. Two Tequesta Point, the central building of the complex, was completed in 1999. It is 410 ft (125 m) tall, and has 40 floors. One Tequesta Point, the original building of the complex, was built in 1995. It contains 30 floors and is at the southern end of Brickell Key. Tequesta Point condo located in Miami has its own gated entry. Amenities at the Tequesta Point condo include a club room, heated pool, squash and racquetball courts. This grand real estate on Brickell Key also features a health club with aerobics studio, saunas, and message therapy. The buildings, when opened, were some of the tallest Miami had to offer; however, since the start of the building boom in the early 2000s, many skyscrapers which are much taller than the Tequesta Point buildings have been built. Nevertheless, because the complex is located directly on Biscayne Bay, the buildings can still be seen from Miami Beach and from boats in the bay. One Tequesta Point is available for immediate occupancy, and residences are available for sale or for rent.
The history of Brickell Key can be traced to 1896, when Henry Flagler had a 9-foot deep channel dug from the mouth of the Miami River. In the process, Mr. Flagler created an off-shore property comprised of two small islands. In 1943, an investor, Edward N. Claughton, Sr. acquired the islands and eventually purchased additional bay bottom land to combine them to a 44-acre triangle-shaped tract separated from the mansions of Miami's fashionable Brickell Avenue by only a few hundred feet of water. In the late 1970's, Swire Properties purchased most of the island property from the Claughtons, and began to put into place a master plan that would ultimately transform it into one of the most unique island communities in the world. The developer is Swire Group of Hong Kong – London – a global company with a two hundred year history of successful international enterprise. Swire’s strict adherence to a unique master plan for Brickell Key has surrounded Tequesta Point in a wealth of island amenities – shops, restaurants, waterfront promenades. Named in honor of the American Indian tribe found by Florida’s early Spanish explorers at the mouth of the Miami River, Tequesta Point was also inspired by international artist Manuel Carbonell’s series of Tequesta Indian sculptures. With all the allure of a true resort-style destination location, Tequesta Point condos remain one of Miami’s gem condo addresses.
